S: I remember jamming at my buddy's house. I remember the first experience I had with actually feeling like I was successfully improvising...
C: What did that feel like?
S: It was really cool...cause I was like going around the neck and playing all these different notes, man...almost some of them were right and everything...it was really cool. But really, a whole bunch of them were like just about right and with just a tiny bit that I knew that I knew about this is the way a scale went, and so your note choices would have to be within like this kind of parameter to be right relative to this chord kind of thing.
C: Could you show me what you mean?
S: No!...Oh, alright!!

C: So, how long did it take before you felt comfortable...
S: I still don't feel comfortable. I like doing it, but it's not like I feel I got a handle on it...the right handle.
C: Is that why your concentration level is always so high?
S: Just neurotic I guess.
