Letter from The Author

I always joke about being blown away by the Bay Area's majestic beauty, even when I'm at places I've been to or passed a hundred times. This conversation took place at the ranch in Marin County where Zero has its practice sessions. With such inspiration around them, it's no wonder that these fabulous musicians are able to give so much to all of us. The photos that you see are views from the ranch grounds, including the band's practice room, which has had many years to develop the quirky, warm, homey vibe you get from the second you set foot through the door (and no, it's not because of the new wood-burning stove!!).

You can experience this interview as it occurred by clicking on the right arrow buttons at the bottom of each page (starting with this one), or you can skip from topic to topic in whatever order you choose from the article's home page. You won't get lost by not downloading an audio or video file, but we did put them there because they're cool even if they take a while. I hope you have fun experiencing this article, 'cause Steve and I sure had a blast making it happen. If you'd like to let us know what you think, you can send me mail by clicking on my name. And be sure to check out the Zero band site, which is easily accessible from the article's cover page as a link from Steve's name.

Peace.
