Don Pearson of Ultra Sound over a 3 night stand at San Francisco's Great
American Music Hall. Special Guests include: Vince Welnick (Grateful Dead)
John Kahn (Jerry Garcia Band) Nicky Hopkins (Rolling Stones, Quicksilver)
Pete Sears (Zero, Jefferson Starship,Hot Tuna) and Liam Hanrahan (Zero bass
player at the time).
The Best of Zero recorded live at a number of different gigs between
1986-90. Over 70 minutes worth of classic Zero instrumentals and lone
vocal, SST.
The result of Zero going into a recording studio, setting up and playing live for 5 uninterrupted days and nights. Where nothing goes, everything is revealed. The one live track on the album, Gregg's Eggs, recorded live at a Seva Foundation Benefit at Harvard Square in Boston, features one of the last performances by John Cipollina, a constant member of the band until his death in 1989.
